40

40 school days left of this incredible school year.  40 more school days where I will serve as principal of CNH.  This leaves me with a series of questions – How will we end this school year strong for the students? How will we end our time working together? How will we connect as a larger community?  How will we prepare ourselves and our school to help the next principal transition with success to CNH? How will we care for each other?

As we return to school, after 10 days with beautiful Spring weather and (hopefully) some rest and reflection, we see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Boy, we have a lot to do before we can feel that light on our shoulders – MCAP testing, Progress Report conferences, end of year celebrations, community events, 8th grade graduation, etc.  We have a lot of meaningful work between now and the end of the school year – let’s keep each other motivated, engaged, and with a mask mandate against Spring Fever. 🙂

Have a great week!

–Dr. Shyla.
