Summer Job Opportunities for Students 14 and Older

It’s not too early for your teens to begin thinking about a summer job!  Summer jobs can provide opportunities for students to earn real pay for real work, learn about the workplace, apply education they received during the school year, contribute to communities and families, and connect with positive role models.  YouthWorks summer jobs program is available to students ages 14 to 21.  Beginning January 2, students can apply at youthworks.oedworks.com.  Find out more at www.oedworks.com.

2020-21 Calendar

Baltimore City Public Schools just announced the dates that were approved for their 2020-21 calendar.  For all of you planners out there, here they are:

  • School Starts: August 31, 2020
  • Winter Break: December 23, 2020- January 1, 2021
  • Spring Break: March 29 –April 5, 2021
  • School Ends: June 11, 2021
  • Inclement Weather Recovery Days: June 14-18, 2021

Because we are a Baltimore City Public School, these dates apply to us.  However, our calendar does not always align when it comes to Professional Development dates.  The CNH calendar is typically finalized in March and we’ll have a more complete picture for 2020-21 then.

Enrollment Season Open for 2020-21!

We are now accepting applications from new families for 2020-21 inclusion in the enrollment lottery through 3 PM on Wednesday, February 5.  Please share this information with anyone who may be interested.

We request that CN staff and current families submit sibling applications by Monday, January 27, 2020 so we can determine how many available seats we will have open when we conduct our lottery.  Applications are available in the office or on our website.  You can submit them to the office directly or by scanning and emailing to applications@cityneighborshamilton.org.

Any questions about enrollment for 2020-21?  Contact Stephanie at sking@ityneighborshamilton.org.

Ways to Support City Neighbors Hamilton

Did you know that you can give to City Neighbors Hamilton through United Way?  Well, you can!  And your employer might even match your donation!  If you and your employer give through United Way, please use code 43909.

Now that the holidays are upon us, you might be shopping through Amazon.  If you do, City Neighbors Hamilton can benefit from your purchases if you connect by using smile.amazon.com and select City Neighbors Hamilton as your charity.  You get the same great Amazon bargains and products–it just allows you to support CNH every time you shop there.

Thank you!
